Info

By the community, for the community: With over a hundred active volunteers presenting and producing live radio for the diverse communities of Manchester, this is the ethos of All FM. Its presenters & producers have been trained by All FM, presenting a range of shows, including foreign language shows, shows by and for carers, those with mental health issues, disabilities, older people and younger people and all those in between.

History

All FM began in 2000 as a project of the charity Radio Regen, with a four-day broadcast under the title Radio Longsight. After the success of Radio Longsight, All FM was created, covering the Longsight area and the neighbouring areas of Ardwick and Levenshulme (hence the acronym ALL). In 2002, the station became part of the government’s Access Radio pilot scheme. All FM became an independent company and was granted a permanent community radio licence in 2005.
